About Doris Larson

Doris Larson

Travel writer Doris Larson’s speciality is reviewing inns and bed and breakfasts. She searches out little known accommodations as well as returning again to favorite inn spots. Her reviews are based on personal stays at the inns where she talks to the innkeepers, samples the meals and is always looking for interesting places in the area for visitors. Her favorite comment from readers who have stayed at one of her recommended inns is: "We loved it. The inn was exactly like you described it."

Doris' experience includes working as a reviewer/inspector for the Ohio Bed & Breakfast Association (OBBA) and serving on the panel of guidebook writers and editors responsible for selecting the "54 Great American Inns" for the April 1999 National Geographic Traveler. Author of Bed & Breakfast Getaways from Cleveland and Great Inn Getaways from Cleveland, her articles on destinations and accommodations appear in magazines and newspapers nationwide. A frequent presenter at writing conferences, Doris facilitates writing retreats for women. (Check out the current listing of conferences where she will be presenting this year)
